Employee time tracking for WordPress. Staff clock in and out from any phone or computer; managers see time entries and simple hours reports.

== Description ==

Custom Timeclock turns your WordPress site into the time clock of your business. Employees clock in and out from a phone, tablet or computer, and you get their hours, ready to review.

The free plugin is complete on its own: it never contacts any external server and stores everything in your own WordPress.

= Free version =

* Clock in and out, with automatic calculation of hours
* Up to 5 employees
* Time entries screen with manual entries and corrections, including night shifts
* Simple hours reports for the last 14 days
* Change history of every correction: who changed what, and when
* Personal dashboard for every employee
* Login protection: 5 wrong passwords lock a time clock account for 15 minutes
* Works on phones, tablets and computers
* English, Greek and Russian

= Pro version (optional) =

Custom Timeclock Pro is a separate add-on, available at webquicky.com. Install it on top of the free plugin to unlock:

* Mandatory breaks, a company rule and a rule per employee, deducted automatically
* GPS location, captured at clock in and clock out
* Unlimited employees
* Hourly rates, overtime and earnings, with payroll-ready figures
* Email notifications, including a reminder when somebody forgets to clock out
* Reports without the date limit, grouped by employee or by day, with CSV export
* A dedicated HR Manager role and team dashboard

= Shortcodes =

* `[timeclock]` - the clock in / clock out screen, with a login form for visitors
* `[timeclock_dashboard]` - hours for the employee, or the team view for a manager

== Installation ==

1. In WordPress go to **Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin** and choose the ZIP file, or search for "Custom Timeclock" under **Add New**.
2. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.
3. Create a page containing `[timeclock]` for the clock in / clock out screen.
4. Create a page containing `[timeclock_dashboard]` for the employee dashboard.
5. Go to **Time Clock → Employees** and add your staff.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does the free version contact any external server? =

No. The free plugin stores everything in your own WordPress database and never sends any data anywhere.

= Can I record a night shift? =

Yes. In a manual entry, a clock out time that is earlier than the clock in time is treated as the next morning.

= What is deleted when I delete the plugin? =

Nothing, unless you switch on "Delete all time clock data when I delete the plugin" under Time Clock → Settings. Many countries require you to keep working time records for years, so export your reports first.

= Is the login protected? =

Yes. After 5 wrong passwords a time clock account is locked for 15 minutes. You can switch this off under Time Clock → Settings.

= How do I get breaks, GPS, overtime or payroll? =

Those are in Custom Timeclock Pro, a separate add-on from webquicky.com. Install it on top of the free plugin and they turn on automatically.

= Does it work on mobile? =

Yes. The screens are made for phones first.

== Privacy ==

The free plugin stores in your own database: employee accounts, clock in and clock out times, hours worked and the change history of corrected records. It does not contact any external server and collects no data.

The plugin is connected to the WordPress privacy tools: **Tools → Export Personal Data** includes an employee's time records and the change history, and **Tools → Erase Personal Data** removes their records where the law allows. Hours worked are kept, because they are records an employer has to retain.

Custom Timeclock Pro, if you install it, adds GPS location and sends your site address, the licence email and the activation code to webquicky.com for the licence check; this is disclosed in the Pro add-on.
